Follow these steps to clear the cache, force close the app, and reboot your device. This will resolve most issues without affecting your account, settings, or login information.
🔥 Amazon Fire TV Stick (Fire OS) 1. Clear the TV-Player App Cache
Go to Settings (gear icon) > Applications > Manage Installed Applications.
Select TV-Player.
Tap Clear Cache.
⚠️ Important:
Do NOT tap “Clear Data” — this will erase your login and app settings.
✅ Benefit:
Clearing the cache removes temporary files that can cause glitches and buffering.
On the same screen, tap Force Stop.
✅ Benefit:
This fully shuts down the app so it can restart clean, eliminating any background issues.
Go to Settings > My Fire TV (or Device & Software) > Restart, then confirm.
OR: Press Select + Play/Pause on your remote for 5–7 seconds.
OR: Unplug the Firestick for 15 seconds and plug it back in.
✅ Benefit:
Rebooting clears memory and resets the system without deleting apps or data.
Go to Settings (gear icon) > Apps > See all apps.
Select TV-Player.
Tap Clear Cache.

Go to Settings > Device Preferences (or System) > About > Restart.
OR: Unplug the device for 10–15 seconds and plug it back in.

Rebooting resets system memory and often resolves performance issues without affecting apps or data.
Clear Cache: Removes junk and temporary files that slow the app down.
Force Stop: Ends stuck processes running in the background.
Reboot: Clears system memory and refreshes performance without deleting anything.
